Cactus Abstractions

These pictures are part of my Abstract by Nature series.

I seek out and photograph very simple natural shapes - in this case, one single desert cactus - and combine multiple images to create organic and evocative shapes and colors. I'm always concerned about the balance between traditional photography and computer manipulation; this series comes as close to an ideal balance as any I’ve ever done.
